Fifty.
I must admit, I cheated a bit at the end of the year. I had to count a few books that aren’t quite long enough to be considered “proper” books. But I was determined to have read 50 books this year, and I technically managed it.
When I fell behind (quite a few times), I found myself rushing through books and not really savouring them, which is a pity. Working towards a deadline...
